Fossil Fuel reserves on earth are fast depleting, and also, these fuels have been identified as the primary reason for increasing pollution and global warming. Due to these ground realities, there has been a significant interest in adopting Renewable Energy solutions to meet the energy demands in Offices, Factories and Homes. With reducing prices of Renewable Energy technologies and a global mandate to reduce the Carbon Footprint, there is a strong case to seriously adopt Renewable Energy Solutions.

DFX has taken an Integrated approach to Renewable Energy and is designing Solutions rather than promoting Products. The Renewable Energy Solutions are aimed mainly at Solar based solutions, catering to the diverse needs like Electricity generation, Pumping, Heating, Drying, Cooking, Cooling, Refrigeration besides Lighting.

The Challenges in implementing Renewable Energy Solutions

The objectives of Energy Audit are to:

  • Power Generation peaks do not match Consumption peaks
  • Power Generation is not consistent, and has multiple peaks and dips through the day and the annual season
  • Requires large ground areas for installation
  • A Single solution is not adequate for a particular case, hence there is no unique solution across all projects
  • Minor demographic changes results in major disruption in power generation

Shifting Peak Energy demands to Off-Peak Night Times

It is common knowledge that Night time energy consumption drops dramatically from daytime energy usage. Handling Grid Balancing due to this disparity is a perennial challenge to Grid supply companies worldwide.

With on-going Research into newer technologies, DFX provides Innovative solutions in shifting peak loads to night time usage, thereby benefiting the Grid supply companies in Grid Balancing and also reducing User’s Energy bills by taking advantage of Lower Energy Tariffs at night. Some of the solutions implemented by DFX are through use of Ice Storage system coupled to Centralized chillers, use of Phase change materials for energy storage using 30X lower areas and through judicious process re-engineering.
